Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest levels of safety.
• Adapt/respond to different types of customer-facing scenarios.
• Resolve issues with understanding, compassion, and grace.
• Communicate in English and Dutch fluently.
• Operate electronic devices for the completion of required tasks.
• Pass a functional reach assessment.
• Serve and/or sell food and beverages in a diligent and professional manner.

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older at time of application.
• High school graduate or GED; 2 or more years of college preferred.
• At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry.
• Able to speak in a clear, concise, and organized manner, loudly enough to be heard in an emergency.
• Able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
• Able to speak and read Dutch fluently.
• Able to hear all types and ranges of sound.
• Able to effectively communicate in high-stress situations.
• Able to proficiently operate electronic devices.
• Valid passport with 12 months validity remaining prior to its expiration.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Able to work a flexible schedule in support of United’s 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Professional appearance, excellent grooming standards, and willingness to follow uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines.
• Ability to proficiently operate electronic devices.
• Pass a functional reach assessment.
• Pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens.

Pay

Starting hourly flight pay of $37.10/hour with top of base scale at $100.13/hour by 2030: Annal base pay increases through 2030 in addition to seniority based pay increases.

Schedule

Flexible schedule in support of United’s 24/7 operation (must be available to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, etc. on scheduled/reserve days).
