Position Purpose

The Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a flexographic printing press, ensuring high-quality printed products by adjusting ink flow, plate positioning, and machine settings while closely monitoring print quality, color accuracy, and registration according to job specifications; tasks include loading materials, changing printing plates, mixing inks, and performing routine preventative maintenance checks to maintain production efficiency and meet customer requirements. Mark Andy P7, 2200 or other and/or Nilpeter press experience a plus. Knowledge and experience with fanfolding equipment is a plus.

Essential Functions & Principal Accountabilities

  • Reviews and completes specs from job tickets and layouts both accurately and precisely
  • Sets up and adjusts press for job runs to meet specifications
  • Makes color matches for ink
  • Maintains product quality during job runs
  • Maintains equipment during job runs, remains alert to mechanical problems, and corrects or refers to maintenance as necessary
  • Follows approval procedures and documents outcomes from production in system
  • Prints jobs
  • Maintains a clean & neat work environment
  • Performs press clean up
  • Meets production standards for output and waste

Skills and Attributes We’d Like You to Have

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical manuals
  • Attention to detail and color perception
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to make precise adjustments
  • Basic computer skills for accessing job specifications and production reports
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work overtime and Saturdays when needed
  • Team Player-willingness to assist others
  • Ability to accurately count
  • Ability to communicate English
  • Ability to read/write English
  • Ability to lift and carry up to thirty-five pounds in a physical environment
  • Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes
  • Ability to make repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting
  • Experience with Flexographic Printing, Mark Andy and/or Nilpeter
  • 3-5 years Manufacturing Press Operator Experience

Full-Time, Hourly position. We’re hiring for 1st Shift (6:00 am - 2:00 pm), Monday through Friday.
