Flexo Print Press Operator

Description

Requirements

• Using the job jacket, verify material size and type.
• Clean nip, corona tray, and corona rollers, check tack of blue and feeder roller, and refresh if necessary.
• Check ink levels and add ink as needed to reach proper levels, then run ink test program.
• Select art for job and RIP over to press.
• Run job to perform first piece inspection, if required by gang, ensure job jacket is signed off and supervisor check is conducted before running job.
• Use the first piece to check quality of print during run and complete job.
• Place the first piece in the jacket to be used as a guide by future work processes.
• Scan the job to the next work center and move job to completed hold area.
• Clean area at the end of shift and inform supervisor of any mechanical, material, or ink problems encountered during the day.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• HP certification preferred.
• Experience in a production environment helpful.
• Machine aptitude.
• Pass color perception test.
• Good math skills.
• Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand or walk for the full shift.
• Willingness to cross-train throughout the organization.

Pay

Starting at $18.00/hour plus shift differential based on printing experience.

Schedule

1st shift Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
