Flex Print Press Operator

Summary

Set up and run Aqua Flex Printing Press by performing duties such as setting up press, checking print mats, calculating foil requirements, monitoring maintenance, and ensuring quality and production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Get color, position, and maintain consistency during production
• Check print mats for accuracy
• Calculate and order foil for each production run
• Determine press speeds and maintain production levels
• Monitor maintenance needs and schedule maintenance
• Perform maintenance on the printer and order parts as needed
• Work with outside contractors to keep the printer at peak performance
• Grease, oil, clean, and adjust press weekly
• Directly responsible for quality and production
• Complete necessary paperwork and labor reports in QAD
• Use tools to remove and replace components of the machine
• Stage foil
• Operate pallet jack
• Clear jammed foil from press
• Inspect machine operation for malfunctions and make adjustments
• Visually inspect foil and print quality for defects and make adjustments as necessary
• Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits
• Make QAD entries regarding foil and finished components
• Create and label finished components with proper labels

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 3-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions and correspondence
• Ability to compute basic math operations and draw/bar graphs

PREFERRED / REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
