About the role

BAYADA is seeking a CNA to provide personal care, household support, and companion care services to adults in their homes. This role involves supporting clients with activities of daily living, household tasks, meal preparation, medication reminders, and vital sign checks.

Responsibilities

• Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, provide personal care, household support, and companion care services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.
• Develop close relationships with clients while assisting with activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, meal preparation and feeding, range of motion/exercises, assisting with ambulation, medication reminders, and vital sign checks (temperature, pulse, respiration).

Requirements

• At least one year of work experience.
• Successfully completed a recognized CNA training course and be certified to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• A passion for caregiving, providing private home care, and a desire to help others.
• A commitment to being present and providing quality care.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Ability to travel to clients' homes as assigned.

• Strong communication skills.

• Basic computer skills for scheduling and record-keeping.
