Flexible Babysitter

About the role

Jovie is seeking experienced caregivers to assist with evening and weekend care for local families. Caregivers will typically work 3+ hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 4 PM to Midnight. Duties may include meal preparation, engaging in various activities, and ensuring the bedtime routine is completed.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and provision
• Engaging in arts and crafts, board/card games, baking, and outdoor play
• Assisting with the bedtime routine
• Staying with children until parents arrive home

Requirements

• 3 references, 2 from working with children
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification
• Able to work at least 2 shifts per week (Friday through Sunday from 4 PM to Midnight)

Qualifications

• Personal experience caring for younger siblings (considered great experience)
• Special needs experience a plus
• The ability to work one-on-one with children in their home
• The desire to prioritize safety above all else

Skills

• Experience with meal preparation
• Knowledge of child development and safety
• Ability to engage in various activities
