Flex Truck Driver - Class A - Penske Logistics
Average annual pay: $120,000. Travel required, up to 100 percent.
About the role
This position requires the driver to travel regionally to work at various locations as needed, performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. You will unload the trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, and use a scanner to log products as they are unloaded and delivered.
Schedule
- Dispatch times vary depending on work assignment.
- Drivers can expect to be away from home 2 to 3 weeks per assignment.
- Drivers will travel to an assigned location and work from there for the duration of the assignment.

Payday is every Friday.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years.
- 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
- English language proficiency (required by federal law, 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)).
- Ability to work the required schedule and at the specified location.
- Complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening.
This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety-sensitive by the company. Associates must maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely, accepting responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to see and hear is required.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting.
- Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg.
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
