Flex Truck Driver - Class A - Penske Logistics

Average annual pay: $100,000. Travel required, up to 100 percent.

About the role

This position requires the driver to travel regionally to work at various locations as needed, performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. You will represent Penske and its clients, often driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
• Work the required schedule at the specific location assigned
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely to ensure personal safety and the safety of others

Schedule

• Dispatch times vary depending on work assignment
• Drivers can expect to be away from home 2-3 weeks per assignment
• Drivers will travel to an assigned location and work from there for the duration of the assignment
• Paid every Friday

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in your state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency (required by federal law, 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Must complete Penske employment application, background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting required
• Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
