FLEX Senior Designer, Digital Communications

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute digital design tasks in support of Marriott’s Digital Communications products including key customer emails.
• Partner closely with fellow UX designers, copywriters, product management team members, and technology colleagues to ensure that design solutions are consistent, aligned to standards, high-quality, performant, and effective.
• Produce high-quality designs within the established workflow.
• Consistently meet committed critical campaign timelines.
• Provide guidance to internal and external designers to ensure alignment with brand and other standards.
• Contribute fresh and innovative concepts in support of continual improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in digital product design.
• 4-year undergraduate degree, with bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of visual design principles.
• Proficient in general usability and transactional design best practices.
• Experience with major, large-scale global digital apps, websites, or other digital products.
• Proven experience delivering high quality digital design work from concepts through final deliverables.
• Familiarity with interpreting and applying branding and brand concepts.

Qualifications

• A strong portfolio showcasing general skill in UX/UI design, with experience in transactional and/or marketing email design.
• A strong understanding of email design best practices including familiarity with email client capabilities and limitations and responsive email design.
• Experience in digital production with a focus on creating and updating reusable templates.
• Able to balance conversion techniques with an elevated user experience.
• Able to turn design concepts into clear visuals that follow brand guidelines.
• Able to proactively identify opportunities, develop creative concepts, and bring thoughtful email design solutions to life.
• Able to continuously iterate on designs based on feedback and usability testing to enhance user experience.
• Demonstrate attention to detail across all aspects of UX design, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all deliverables.
• A strong working knowledge of Figma, including building templates and contributing to design system components.
• Able to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with business stakeholders.
• Able to clearly communicate design requirements to developers, outlining clear specs and guidelines to ensure designs are built accurately.
• Proactively manage tasks and prioritize workload to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a well-organized workflow, including design assets, documentation, and project timelines to facilitate effective collaboration.
• Familiar with Agile / SAFE development methodologies and managing work through Jira.
• Understand how to work effectively within a comprehensive design system.
• Have strong presentation and communication skills, with an ability to defend design decisions.
• Showcase self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.

Pay

$48.26 - $75.81 per hour.
