Responsibilities

  • Use impeccable C-I-CARE in all patient interactions, ensuring a fluid and positive in-office experience through patient intake, same day schedule management, appropriate follow-up scheduling, and strong knowledge of billing and insurance.
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization.
  • Provide best-in-class venipuncture services on a population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, depending on the office location.
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties such as EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs.
  • Answer patient messages, follow up on lab cases, and assist with clerical duties like biometric screening forms, medical record and consult reviews, billing inquiries, and DOH reporting.
  • Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, participating in team problem-solving, and supporting providers with ad hoc asks.
  • Perform opening and closing duties/daily office upkeep, including maintaining the look and feel of both patient and employee-facing spaces, restocking supplies, and organizing.
  • Master our technology suite including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment.
  • Strong customer service skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously.
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus).
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care.
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a physical exam.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Pay

The range for this role is $20.25 to $22.25 per hour based on a standard full-time schedule. Total compensation packages may be based on factors unique to particular candidates, such as skill sets, depth of experience, and work location. Schedule

This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) with 8-hour shifts generally taking place Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM based in office in New Albany, OH. Flex Lab Services Specialists/Member Support Specialists support multiple One Medical locations in a market with location and schedule subject to change.
