Flex Officer Armed

About the role

The Armed Flex Security Officer is responsible for protecting the property, assets, and people within various sites including patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings/access points, and ensuring the safety and security of all individuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clear and effective communication with site and Company staff regarding security matters.
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and take appropriate action.
• Provide excellent service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and concerns.
• Manage conflicts and disturbances in a calm and professional manner.
• Work together with law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to security functions and processes.
• Complete additional work tasks with guidance from the Field Support team.

Requirements

• Current, valid OPOTA license.
• 25+ years of age. (21+ years of age with previous law enforcement or military experience).
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in a school setting is a plus.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification desirable.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours and the ability to work all shifts on any given day, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Desired Skills

• Physical requirements: Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers. Pushing/pulling/carrying and lifting may include up to 50 lbs.; stair climbing, walking and, at times, standing. Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities. General computer knowledge and able to adapt to software easily.

Flex Officer’s site locations may vary due to site staffing needs/requirements. Position requires working flexible hours and the ability to work all shifts on any given day, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.
