Flex Data Center Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols. Objectives include ensuring safety of personnel, property, and company assets; maintaining a secure environment; preventing theft, vandalism, unauthorized access; responding effectively to emergencies; upholding company policies and legal compliance; providing visible deterrence; supporting organizational operations; protecting sensitive information; conflict resolution and de-escalation; performing access control at security entrances/exits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
• Control building access by verifying identification, checking credentials, and managing visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and security incidents.
• Enforce security protocols, company rules, and regulations for premises, personnel, and visitors.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and security equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
• Investigate suspicious activities, behavior, and security breaches.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus.
• Willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Pay

$23.50 per hour.

Schedule

Must be available any day, including 2nd and 3rd shifts. Primary site location: Hillsboro, OR; officers will be stationed at various site locations.
