About the role

We are a steadily growing grocery retailer specializing in Eastern European products and one of the leading companies in this market segment. For our store in Herne, we are looking for a career changer or trained butcher/meat specialist (m/f/d) to work at the service counter, starting from 1 November 2024, in full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

• Customer advice: Provide competent and friendly advice to customers
• Creative shaping of the counter: Design the meat counter and bakery area with creativity and attention to detail to make shopping a multi-sensory experience; ensure attractive product presentation, freshness and cleanliness
• Quality control: Regularly check products against internal quality standards; carry out incoming goods and quality inspections
• HACCP: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the fresh counter

Your profile

• Career changers are very welcome – we will train you in the necessary craft skills
• Training as a retail salesperson, chef, butcher, specialist food retailer, fresh specialist, butcher’s shop salesperson or comparable qualification
• Customer-oriented: friendliness, quality awareness and strong communication skills
