Fleet Technician (Mechanic)

About the role

Under regular supervision, configures new vehicles and equipment. Assists with tasks involving services, maintenance, and repairs to County vehicles and other motorized equipment including trailers, ensuring proper working order. Performs preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Configure new vehicles and equipment
• Assist with services, maintenance, and repairs of County vehicles and motorized equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment

Requirements

Any combination of training, education, or experience equivalent to two years’ experience in automotive repair or new vehicle preparation, which includes at least one year of experience in the service and installation of motorized equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED is preferred
