About the Role
This is a full-time industrial level auto-mechanic position, responsible for performing maintenance, running diagnostics, and repairing our medium to heavy duty diesel trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities
- Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
- Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules.
- Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma (or GED) is required.
- An ASE Certified Diesel Mechanic certification is preferred.
- Two to four years of diagnostic, maintenance, and repair experience of Class 7 & 8 diesel trucks and trailers is required.
- Own a set of tools and understand the best practices for using them.
