Fleet Technician

About the role

At SIXT, we’re searching for a Fleet Technician to handle essential maintenance and repairs across our vehicle lineup. Your work is vital to maintaining smooth rental operations and maximizing vehicle availability.

Responsibilities

• You perform basic mechanical repairs to include oil changes, mounting and balancing tires, tire repair, brake and part replacements
• You complete Pre delivery inspections on fleet vehicles as required by management
• You achieve daily output goals and maintain the minimum efficiency of 100%
• You use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) every time repairs are performed, including the use of safety glasses at all times while in the automotive shop
• You conduct daily clean-up of the work area and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements

• You have at least 2 years' experience as an automotive technician or have graduated from a trade school
• You hold ASE Certifications in Suspension & Steering (A4) and Brakes (A5), or you're ready to earn them within your first year of employment
• You are at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and are authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
• You can work 40 hours per week, including day or evening shifts, and are open to travel (5-10%)

Qualifications

• You have a high school diploma or equivalent

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Pay

A starting hourly rate of $28.70

Schedule

40 hours per week, including day or evening shifts, with occasional travel (5-10%)
