We need to remove boilerplate like Disclaimer, EEO, etc. Also remove "If offered employment, the specific rate of pay and position grade will be determined based on applicable differentials and the candidate’s level of experience and skill." That's about pay but it's vague; we should not create Pay section unless posting actually states them. This sentence mentions pay but not specific rate; it's vague. According to rule: never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. It does not state actual pay, so we should not create a Pay section. We could maybe include that sentence in a paragraph under something like "About the role" but we have no such heading. We could incorporate into Job Summary? Might be better to include under "Job Summary" or maybe a separate "Additional Information" but we should avoid creating sections with filler. The instruction: Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could incorporate that sentence into Job Summary or maybe under "Experience Required". However the sentence is about pay determination; it's not experience. Could be placed under a generic "About the role" but we don't have that heading. The allowed headings are: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can use any of those if we have content. We have content for Responsibilities (Essential Functions, Additional Responsibilities). We have Requirements/Qualifications (Experience Required, Education And Experience, Knowledge Skills And Abilities). We have Skills (maybe Knowledge Skills And Abilities). We have Physical Demands and Work Environment which are not in the list but we could still create sections with those headings? The instruction says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It says "e.g." meaning those are examples, not exclusive list. So we can use other headings if needed, but better to stick to those examples. However Physical Demands and Work Environment are important; we could put them under "Requirements" or "Qualifications"? Might be okay to create headings like "Physical Demands" and "Work Environment" as they are substantive. The instruction didn't forbid other headings, just gave examples. So we can use them. We must not repeat job title as heading. Not needed. We must not include boilerplate like EEO, disclaimer, etc. So we will strip those. Now we need to decide how to structure. Potential sections: - About the role (maybe Job Summary) - Responsibilities (Essential Functions + Additional Responsibilities) - Requirements (Experience Required + Education And Experience) - Skills (Knowledge Skills And Abilities) - Physical Demands - Work Environment We could also include "Preferred Qualifications" but not needed. We must use
    • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So for each bullet list we need to wrap in
      • . For prose we use

. We need to preserve all substantive information. So we need to include each bullet point as list items. Let's extract bullet points: Experience Required (list): - At least six months of related experience in a similar role and environment. - Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English. - Keep safety as a priority in the work environment. - Ability to successfully complete a skills assessment. (eTRAIN test) - Valid driver’s license. - Excellent client service skills. - Own and maintain required personal tools. Strongly Preferred (list): - At least five years heavy equipment technician experience, preferably in a dealership environment. - Caterpillar work experience. Job Summary (prose): we can keep as paragraph(s). Essential Functions (list): - Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures. - Maintain good client relations and support for corporate marketing objectives. - Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components. - Prepare service reports. - Plan and control cost of repair jobs. - Maintain company equipment – keep in good clean orderly condition. - Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. - Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Additional Responsibilities (list): - Own and maintain required personal tools. - Learn and use Empire, Caterpillar and allied product procedures and systems. - Maintain current MSHA card if work area requires. - Provide on-the-job training to technicians and helpers as assigned. - Make warranty recommendations. - Communicate with proper individuals to clarify instructions or discuss scope or progress of job. - Work overtime as needed. - Travel to remote locations as needed. - Perform other related duties as assigned. - Work within and promote corporate values. Knowledge Skills And Abilities (list): - Communicate verbally and in writing, information, instructions, and explanations to associates, clients and management regarding vehicle/component/equipment conditions, problems, recommendations, and repair processes. - Basic computer and internet knowledge required, as well as knowledge in operating scanning/diagnostic tools. - Knowledge and skills to operate and understand diagnostic equipment including computerized instrumentation. - Appropriate manner, conduct, and grooming adhere to company policy. - Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively. - Knowledge of CAT machine components and systems. - Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements. Education And Experience (list): - High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). - Current driver’s license. - Minimum of 6 months related experience. - Completion of eTRAIN test evaluation. - Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English. Physical Demands (prose): we can keep as paragraph(s). Work Environment (prose): paragraph(s). Now we need to avoid duplication: Some items appear in multiple places (e.g., Own and maintain required personal tools appears both in Experience Required and Additional Responsibilities). We should preserve all substantive information; duplication is okay? The instruction says remove duplicated lines. So we should deduplicate identical lines. Let's see duplicates: - Own and maintain required personal tools appears in Experience Required and Additional Responsibilities. We should keep only one instance. - Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English appears in Experience Required and Education And Experience (similar). Slightly different phrasing: Experience Required: "Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English." Education And Experience: "Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English." They are similar but not identical. Might be considered duplicate meaning; but we could keep both? The instruction: remove duplicated lines. If they are not exactly same line, maybe keep both. But to be safe, we could keep one version under Requirements and note that language ability is required. However we might lose nuance. I'd keep both but maybe combine? Better to keep one under Requirements (Experience Required) and note that Education And Experience includes language ability as part of that. But Education And Experience also includes high school diploma etc. We could keep the language line there as it's part of Education And Experience. However we risk duplication. I'd decide to keep both
