Fleet Technician

About the role

This Fleet Mechanic position is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment. Must be flexible to travel to other locations for support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all fleet vehicles within assigned Primo Brands locations.
• Respond to field service calls.
• Order mechanical components, services, and parts, and maintain inventory.
• Perform and document all phases of vehicle maintenance and repair, including diagnostics.
• Maintain communication with drivers and management regarding maintenance and service of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain a unit history file for each vehicle.
• Complete Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and comply with US DOT requirements for commercial vehicles.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience with diesel/propane vehicles and air brake systems, preferably with heavy-duty vehicles.
• Engine and Chassis Diagnostic software experience.
• Focus on safe work practices and high-quality execution under minimal supervision.
• Ability to accurately record and document all maintenance activity.
• Proficiency with fleet software for vehicle maintenance tracking, work orders, and inventory management.
• Ability to lift parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must have own set of personal tools.
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) driver qualification policy requirements.
• CDL preferred; ability to obtain within six (6) months of entering the position (required in some locations).
• Strong English language skills for effective communication with customers and team members.

Pay

$36/hour + paid overtime. Additional 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 2PM to 10PM.
