Fleet Technician

About the role

Fleet Assistant supports the daily operations of a company’s vehicle fleet. This role helps ensure vehicles are properly maintained, compliant, and ready for use.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Maintain accurate vehicle records (registrations, insurance, inspections, mileage logs)
• Track fuel usage and maintenance costs
• Coordinate vehicle assignments and monitor availability
• Communicate with drivers regarding vehicle issues
• Ensure vehicles meet safety and regulatory requirements
• Support fleet manager with reports and administrative tasks
• Help manage vendor relationships for repairs and services

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or fleet management software
• Good communication skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
