Key Responsibilities
- Champion a culture of safety and innovation by consistently upholding Freebee’s operational standards across all fleet activities.
- Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance, safety inspections, and diagnostics for fleet vehicles, including preventive care, rapid response repairs, and EV charging system assessments.
- Manage parts inventory and maintain accurate tracking of stock levels, pending orders, and future parts requirements.
- Prioritize and respond promptly to maintenance tickets to ensure optimal fleet functionality and daily operational goals are met.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff, drivers, managers, and external vendors to coordinate vehicle servicing and resolve technical issues.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues independently and document all maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Conduct thorough assessments following any vehicle incident or accident, and document findings and repairs in accordance with company policy.
- Develop and implement innovative maintenance strategies to improve vehicle performance and enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and submit detailed maintenance expense reports on a monthly basis.
- Maintain and manage accurate inventory of tools, parts, and components at Freebee HQ, in service vehicles, and at remote fleet sites.
- Assist the maintenance and operations teams with various tasks to support daily fleet operations and long-term performance goals.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of Freebee’s vehicle platforms while proactively ensuring ongoing compliance with safety and transportation regulations.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, including diagnostics, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to pass a MVR and Background Check.
- Ability to work as needed (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
- ASE certifications are preferred.
- Automotive background and training preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills via verbal, email, and written.
- Technical ability to operate mobile phones, computers, mobile applications, and technology.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Ability to work in the field or at remote job sites.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of motor vehicles.
