Fleet Supervisor - Overnight

Schedule

Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 4:00 PM – 4:00 AM. Onsite in Marianna, FL.

Responsibilities

• Independently coordinate and schedule a fleet of drivers according to customer requests in compliance with company rules and DOT regulations to maximize operational performance and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise activities of drivers and maintain daily communication with the customer on areas impacting operational performance.
• Coach and counsel drivers in safety, performance, productivity, and morale.
• Direct and schedule drivers’ work; plan, assign, and distribute daily work while coordinating loads, equipment, and backhauls to achieve maximum fleet utilization.
• Develop daily delivery plans utilizing equipment, manpower, and other resources to ensure an effective, efficient operation.
• Organize, plan, and implement transportation solutions for assigned customers that utilize the best cost option to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and resolve delivery and scheduling problems through timely communication with customers, drivers, vendors, and other Ruan locations.
• Perform administrative functions including payroll, billing, driver counseling, and post-accident reviews.
• Participate in the review and analysis of operating performance.
• Use Ruan transportation management systems to ensure all required operational data is accurately captured in near real-time.
• Monitor and promote safety and compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations in all areas of the operation.
