Fleet Service Writer

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily workload of a technician workforce to achieve optimum utilization.
• Daily Lot Check - Check and log all trucks on the lot.
• Procure vendor invoices!
• Reviewing and closing work orders.
• Tracking and receiving parts.
• Stocking and re-stocking inventory items.
• Reviewing and prioritizing driver write-ups for equipment requiring repair.
• Other projects and tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Experience working in a shop environment.
• Strong Computer skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong listening skills relate to workload, time management, and setting priorities in an unsupervised environment.
• Effective problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.

Physical Requirements

• The associate will be required to: read; communicate verbally and/or in written form; remember and analyze certain information; and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines.
• Must be able to work independently.
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be required to stand, walk, and sit.
• The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
• The associate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
