About the role
The Fleet Safety Manager at AAA Club Alliance is responsible for guiding and promoting a culture of safety across all fleet locations. This role is based out of one of the following locations: Philadelphia, PA; Cincinnati, OH; Woodlawn, MD; or Columbus, OH. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional weekends.
Responsibilities
- Manage Safety Coordinators to execute the Traffic Safety Program and Driver Qualification File Compliance.
- Ensure Safety Coordinators have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform their roles.
- Ensure the team has the resources they need; assign responsibilities; monitor performance; and coach as needed.
- Collaborate with Fleet Management, Learning & Development, Risk Management, Human Resources, other clubs, and Legal to develop and execute the Club Fleet Safety Strategy.
- Provide communications across Fleet locations and manage content on the Club Fleet intranet page.
- Support and guide Club Fleet business line management.
- Serve as a resource and liaison with corporate support departments.
- Oversee fleet safety compliance, including roadside safety, use of PPE, vehicle security while in transit, recovery techniques, and defensive driving.
- Participate in annual planning and lead project teams for business line initiatives.
- Provide various data analysis for business line.
- Develop, monitor, and interpret ongoing reports on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Identify trends and patterns in data and provide possible responses to these dynamics.
- Develop action plans to respond to any adverse trends.
- Review operating practices and procedures for process improvement opportunities in areas of workflow, reporting, and safety.
- Perform evaluations of safety policies, methods, and programs.
- Promote a culture of safety and accountability across fleet operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a safety-related role.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or OHST (Occupational Health and Safety Technologist), or experience with Samsara are highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong project management, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of internal management in numerous functions.
- Knowledge of business line processes and procedures.
- Excellent business writing and communication skills, enabling effective and professional interaction with all levels of Associates.
- Proficient PC and technology skills including Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; report writing, Samsara, and Internet/Intranet.
- Able to treat data confidentially.
- Skilled as Content Manager of Automotive Solutions.
- Ability to read, analyze, develop, and explain operational data.
- Knowledge and application of business management, strategic planning, and project management principles and practice.

Qualifications
