About the role
J&J Truck Bodies seeks a Fleet Project Manager to oversee assigned fleet build projects, ensuring they adhere to established schedules, specifications, and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Cook up and manage a detailed project plan to keep track of progress.
- Organize and lead project teams and ensure everyone is on the same page.
- Maintain regular communication with customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm schedules, and discuss any project issues.
- Keep customers and senior management updated on the project status and any problems or potential deviations from the approved timeline or budget.
- Forecast potential schedule delays and devise alternate plans to hit project goals.
- Be the central point of contact for assigned fleet projects and increase visibility across all parties.
- Drive accountability among internal and external teams.
- Lead corrective action plans in a commanding manner.
- Collaborate with management and other organizational team members to develop and optimize project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including cost reduction, delivery times, and efficiency.
- Establish and enforce consistent documentation, change management, organization methods, control document repositories, approval procedures, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. However, the employee may need to coordinate and direct a team to meet or satisfy individual or company objectives.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Combination of office environment and significant time on the shop floor of facilities involved on the project.
- Maintain a balance of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with enough time spent on the shop floor as needed to support the project.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
