About the role
The Fleet Parts Coordinator is responsible for the movement of parts and equipment in and out of the parts department. Essential duties include maintaining accurate stock levels, sourcing parts, negotiating pricing, assisting technicians, writing purchase orders, issuing parts, updating inventory control systems, receiving and inspecting incoming parts, managing returns, and performing cycle counts.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate stock levels of parts and equipment, all fluids ensuring availability for repairs and service needs
- Sources parts from vendors, negotiates pricing and delivery terms, and coordinates with service departments to meet repair schedules
- Aids service technicians in identifying the correct parts using parts catalogs and other resources
- Writes Purchase Orders for parts, issues parts to technicians, updates inventory control systems according to company guidelines
- Receives incoming parts, inspects for accuracy and damage
- Manages returns of defective parts and processes warranty claims in compliance with company policy
- Ensures the parts area is clean, organized, and in line with company standards
- Picks up and delivers parts from vendors as needed and coordinates special orders or recalls
- Performs cycle counts and reports discrepancies to ensure accuracy and prevent loss
- Fulfills other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and computer skills for inventory systems
- Understanding of mechanical and technical terms related to the equipment or vehicles served
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in a parts department or related role preferred
- Ability to drive or learn to drive a forklift

Pay
Salary range: $XX - $YY per hour
Schedule
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments such as high noise level, strong odors, and/or exposure to heat and cold. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
