Key Responsibilities
- Perform light to heavy-duty automotive and commercial truck body repairs.
- Repair damaged fiberglass components, including fenders and hoods, using two-part epoxy systems.
- Disassemble and reassemble mixer truck body components.
- Straighten, repair, and replace damaged sheet metal and body panels.
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, grinding, filling, masking, and taping prior to primer and paint application.
- Prime, paint, and refinish vehicles to meet or exceed OEM and factory-quality standards.
- Sand vehicle surfaces between coats to ensure proper adhesion and flawless finishes.
- Perform welding and frame repairs as needed.
- Work with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and fiberglass.
- Operate portable equipment such as ventilators, exhaust systems, ladders, and scaffolding safely.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Dispose of hazardous materials and waste according to environmental and company regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive body repair, fleet repair, collision repair, or commercial truck body repair.
- Experience painting and refinishing vehicles to OEM or better-than-factory standards.
- Fiberglass repair experience using two-part epoxy systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Frame machine operation experience.
- Experience working with aluminum, steel, and other metals.
- Familiarity with proper paint preparation techniques, masking, sanding, priming, and finishing.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, PPE requirements, and hazardous waste disposal procedures.
- Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and shop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
