Fleet Mechanic III
About the role
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), trailers, vans, and forklifts. Disassemble and overhaul motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, and electrical systems. Complete all necessary documents, including vehicle records. Manage ordering and inventory of parts. Act as a mentor to the Class I & II mechanics.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM until 6:30 PM or finished
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles
- Disassemble and overhaul vehicle systems (motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, electrical)
- Maintain accurate vehicle records and documentation
- Order and manage inventory of parts
- Mentor Class I & II mechanics
Requirements
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- 1 year or more of mechanic experience on a fleet
- Ability to work on all types of vehicles (diesel trucks, electric and propane forklifts, etc.)
- Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- Supply your own set of tools to perform the job
- Willing and able to acquire necessary certifications and licenses within the first year of employment, including:
- ASE Heavy and Medium Duty certification
- DOT Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A)
- DOT brake and annual inspection certification
- A/C certification

Pay
Starting at $37.15 per hour. After 6 months, the rate increases to $39.11 per hour.
