Fleet Mechanic

About the role

Vivalon is seeking an A-Level Fleet Mechanic for our Ceres operation. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicle systems, including electronic components, disc brakes, ABS systems, wheelchair lifts, MDTs, and drivability systems. Accurate documentation of work performed is also required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicle systems.
• Create repair orders and enter data into fleet management software.
• Maintain shop logs and complete required compliance reports.
• May require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) but we offer training to help candidates obtain one.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of automotive mechanic experience with progression toward A-Level mechanic status.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair procedures.
• CDL preferred or ability to obtain one; clean driving record and insurable.
• Own tools appropriate for the position.
• Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret safety, maintenance, and operational manuals.
• Strong work ethic with a positive, customer-service-oriented attitude.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
• Must pass DOT physical requirements, drug screenings, and background check.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications, Ford experience, automotive/technical school training, and fleet maintenance software experience are preferred.
