Fleet Mechanic

Job Duties

• Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and preventive servicing
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Repair and replace damaged or faulty parts and components
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet company and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Communicate with the Fleet Manager regarding vehicle conditions and repair status
• Ensure vehicles are operational and available when needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
• Experience using computer diagnostic tools and maintenance software
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and vehicle parts
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to work in noisy, dusty, and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
