About the role

Norbert E. Mitchell Co., Inc. is seeking full-time Fleet Mechanics who are highly safety-conscious, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and well-organized to maintain our vehicles to the highest level of safety and performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding customer service at all times.
• Ensure the consistency and quality of each task performed.
• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnosis, and repairs on all fleet vehicles and equipment, including sedans, pick-up trucks, service vans, utility trucks (with and without cranes), straight trucks, bobtails, tractors, trailers, dump trucks, and construction equipment.
• Repair vehicle systems such as A/C, brakes, electrical, powertrain, suspension, tires, computer systems, metering systems, piping, and tanks.
• Use various types of diagnostics and testing equipment for vehicle repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas.
• Clearly communicate details of vehicle service to the Fleet Manager.
• Neatly and completely fill out service paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience preferred (willing to train the right candidates).
• Able to use hand tools, air tools, and power tools.
• Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Pay

$75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year (based on experience).
