Fleet Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform all mechanical repairs needed on various vehicles/equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Inspect trucks for DOT compliance and address any infractions.
• Provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and federal inspections for fleet trucks.
• Respond to service calls in a timely manner.

Requirements

• 3 years of light/medium duty truck repair experience required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass DOT Physical and DOT Road Test.
• Successfully obtain Chauffer License (if job location is in IN, MI, TN).
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work 8+ hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
