Fleet Mechanic (A3, 2nd Shift)

About the role

We have an immediate career opportunity for a qualified Fleet Mechanic at our Erlanger, KY hub (CVG airport). As a Fleet Mechanic, you will provide a variety of services including performing preventative maintenance on ground support equipment, completing daily scheduled work, and addressing urgent operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Adopt a safety-first approach to all work conducted.
• Possess and furnish a full complement of personal hand tools up to 1/2” drive.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment and components.
• Exhibit excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Utilize hand tools, electrical testing equipment, and computers to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Operate a large assortment of equipment as part of the job function.
• Wear applicable personal protective equipment and follow lockout/tagout program rules and regulations.
• Maintain a detail-oriented and self-starting attitude with a positive outlook.
• Report to work regularly and on time, completing scheduled workdays consistently.
• Interact with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of service and repair for diesel-powered equipment.
• Knowledge of service and repair for mobile HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of service and repair for complex hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of service and repair for electrical systems.
• Ability to weld.
• Proficiency in reading and comprehending electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to work well individually and in a team setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs regularly.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders frequently.
• Must be able to work at heights.
• Must be able to work in hot and cold environments, including inclement weather.
• Must be able to stand for long durations.

Qualifications

Fluent in English.
