Driver Files and Eligibility
- For new drivers: Complete necessary paperwork, follow FMCSA guidelines, obtain driving record and test results, provide driver record from state agency, conduct initial drug screen, review DMP rules, code of conduct, and drug policy, obtain medical card and driver’s license, conduct alcohol screen prior to first drive.
- For current drivers: Complete annual declaration of violations, obtain driving record from state agency annually, conduct randomly selected drug and alcohol screens annually.
- For terminated drivers: Document termination paperwork, remove from testing pool.
Eligibility Requirements
- Maintain calendar of expiration dates for current driver medical cards and licenses.
- Maintain records of random drug and alcohol testing, as well as results.
Insurance
- Communicate with Mary regarding drivers to be added or removed from DMP insurance.
- Notify of any accidents that may need to be reported.
Driver Training
- Maintain records of driver training (dates and attendance).
- Conduct mock audits (when needed).
