Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily/weekly maintenance schedules; prioritize workload to meet operational needs.
- Supervise mechanics to ensure high-quality, timely repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor shop financials, including labor, parts, and inventory; control costs and approve expenses within authority.
- Review DVIRs and manage documentation using fleet management systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policy, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
- Inspect completed repairs for quality and safety compliance.
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Maintain vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing and quality service.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and assist with incident investigations.
- Maintain shop organization and cleanliness.
- Manage staff scheduling, timecards, hiring, training, and performance management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2-5 years of fleet maintenance experience (diesel/heavy equipment) and leadership exposure.
- Tech degree in diesel or heavy equipment repair.
- Supervisory experience.
- Certifications such as ASE T Master, CAFM, and/or CDL A are a plus.
- Logistic system experience with Samsara or other camera, routing systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
