About the role
The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator ensures NEP meets or exceeds all compliance standards for the safety of its mobile units and personnel, and facilitates mobile unit movement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all truck movement within the compound and to outside vendors.
- Perform daily yard checks and enter appropriate data into Microsoft Teams.
- Communicate with engineering and operations to ensure proper placement of mobile units.
- Communicate with Fleet department and Mobile Unit Drivers about necessary changes.
- Work with other Maintenance coordinators to coordinate maintenance.
- Monitor and enter trailer PM/Inspections and weight slips into appropriate spreadsheets.
- Coordinate with tractor leasing companies to maintain PM’s/Campaigns/Repairs.
- Coordinate with outside vendors to maintain PM’s/Repairs to the Mobile Units.
- Aid Fleet Managers in maintaining an equipment and specification spreadsheet.
- Communicate Mobile Unit repairs to Fleet Managers, Fleet Director, and Operations Coordinators.
- May perform light mechanical functions as needed.
- Be available “on-call” 24 hours for fleet-related emergencies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of related skills in fleet operations, safety, and administration.
- Class A CDL required.
- Current knowledge of state and federal transportation laws and regulations.
- Current knowledge of industry standards regarding safety.
- High School Diploma required, with an Associate or Technical Degree preferred.
- Must have a current FMCSA physical exam card and be subject to random drug testing and other required medical exams.
- Reliable and attentive to safety and federal laws.
- Able to travel as necessary.
