Fleet Associate
About the role
As a Fleet Operations Associate, you will work all around the city as part of our Fleet Operations Team to ensure cars are clean, maintained, and transported to where they need to be for our Zipcar members. You’ll zip around by foot, bike, public transit, or use a Zipcar to ensure our vehicles are 'member-ready' – this might mean changing a tire, filling the gas tank, cleaning, or helping to coordinate a tow or repair.

- Ensuring vehicles are clean and ready for Zipcar members
- Communicating with the operations team to update vehicle status
- Working flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Handling outdoor tasks such as working in various weather conditions
- Maintaining a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Carrying tools and marketing materials up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Strong time management skills to juggle multiple priorities and tasks
- Excellent communication with the operations team to ensure vehicle status updates are provided
- Flexibility to work 40-hour weeks
- Willingness to work outdoors (weather and other conditions vary)
- Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record (per company standards)
- Ability to carry tools and marketing materials (up to 50 lbs.)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service or related field preferred
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repair
