About the role
The role is based in South Brunswick, New Jersey, USA (on-site role).
Responsibilities
- Support Flavorists in the creation and development of flavors specifically for Beverages.
- Accurately compound flavor formulations following established processes and safety requirements.
- Handle, organize, and prepare raw materials; measure physical properties as needed.
- Maintain an efficient, well-organized laboratory and manage raw material and flavor stock transfers.
- Prepare raw materials and solutions for evaluations, ensuring readiness for sensory work.
- Apply flavors into beverage bases and actively participate in tastings and product evaluations.
- Follow all laboratory and plant safety procedures, including GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Applications, Sales, QC, and Sensory teams to support project execution.
- Assist with customer visits through sample preparation and application demonstrations.
Requirements
- Strong computer skills, including SAP, Microsoft Office and willingness to learn IFF systems.
- Solid practical math skills for dilutions, formulations, and sample preparation.
- Ability to work independently and become self-sufficient within a couple of months.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Ability to taste and evaluate sensory attributes of flavors and beverage applications.
- Highly organized, proactive, and eager to learn new skills.
- Ideal for someone recently out of college looking for hands-on development in a lab environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Biological or Chemical Sciences with 1–2 years of lab experience OR at least 3 years of experience in an industrial laboratory or chemical environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in beverages, food science, or flavor applications.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaborative mindset with curiosity and problem-solving approach.

Pay
Salary Range: 53.998,00 - 77.140,00 USD
