Flatiron Research Fellow, Center for Computational Neuroscience
About the role
The Center for Computational Neuroscience (CCN) at the Flatiron Institute seeks postdoctoral Flatiron Research Fellows (FRFs) to develop theories, models, and computational methods that advance understanding of brain function. CCN’s research groups include Neural circuits and algorithms, High‑dimensional dynamics & computation, Building biological intelligence, Computational vision, Information processing in biological networks & AI, and Statistical analysis of neural data. Fellows affiliate with a primary PI, collaborate with that PI’s group, and may spend up to 30% of their time on research with other collaborators across CCN, other Flatiron Centers, or external institutions. In addition to research, FRFs disseminate results, participate in seminars and group meetings, organize workshops, and mentor students. Appointments are for two years, generally renewable for a third year contingent on performance, and include a research budget, access to world‑class scientific computing resources, and the possibility of subsidized housing near CCN.
