Flat Welder - Weekend Shift Day Shift

Job Description

To assist in the fabrication of the parts
Maintain production schedule
Maintain a safe and clean work area
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance PM’s that are the operator’s responsibility
Complete all production and quality documentation
Maintain acceptable weld appearance
Maintain and operate a mig welder
Maintain acceptable production rate within the skill level
Make quality checks to ensure materials, parts and workmanship are compliant with engineering requirements and productions expectations

• Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions).
• Read a tape measure to within 1/16”.
• A general understanding of common hand tools is preferred.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to read and understand all engineering prints related to the process.
• Able to determine good weld quality during the welding process and make correction as needed.
• Able to assist in other areas of the shop when needed.
• Maintain the required welder certification within the skill level.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing, sitting, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday.
• Lifting of 50 lbs or more with assistance; two-person lift or mechanical.
• Wear PPE when required.
• 12-hour shifts, paid lunch Friday-Sunday.
• Work 34.5 hours and paid for 40.

Pay Range

$54,637.44 - $70,711.68 per year
