About the role

We are currently accepting applications for an upcoming Flammability and Material & Process Engineer need at our Renton, WA location.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure products/processes comply with FAR 25 flammability and mechanical properties requirements.
  • Review engineering designs, material & process specifications, and customer requirements to develop flammability substantiation data to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Verify and report TSCA/Reach/RoHS, etc. compliance.
  • Assist test lab personnel with flammability, mechanical, and process development test activities.
  • Manage flammability substantiation and certification activities for multiple programs.
  • Develop new or update existing manufacturing processes and material specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production for any process updates or new qualifications required.
  • Work with the customer or regulatory agency in compliance with TSCA/Reach/RoHS, etc. compliance.
  • Aid in the management of statistical process control data analysis.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Aerospace Industry and regulatory (FAA) flammability requirements & regulations, Aerospace Certification, Material & Process specifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Aerospace Flammability, Material & Process Engineering, Certification (or equivalent) experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Skills

  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills.

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay ranges may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets. Base salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
