Flagger / Traffic Control Person

About the role

Extreme Excavating is seeking a Traffic Control Person / Flagger to ensure the safety of workers, motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all traffic control regulations and procedures
• Communicate effectively with workers, motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and the general public
• Manage traffic flow and direct vehicles and pedestrians safely
• Assist in setting up and removing traffic control devices as needed
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust traffic control measures accordingly

Requirements

• A current BCCSA TCP Certification
• Sound knowledge of the latest edition of the TMM for work on roadways
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in all weather
• Ability to lift 30 – 50 LBs
• Safety orientated, self-motivated, and works well with others

Certifications Required

• WHMIS 2015 Level 1
• First Aid
• CSTS 09
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License
