About the role
Joining Centuri, you will be part of a team that leads the way in utility and energy infrastructure across North America. As a Flagger, you will direct traffic through construction zones using handheld signs, traffic barricades, and cones to ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and construction workers.
Responsibilities
- Place signs, barricades, and traffic cones
- Follow all safety precautions to protect motorists and construction workers
- Clock in and out weekly
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Coordinate traffic signals with construction crews and other flaggers
- Participate in paid, on-the-job training for technical skills

Requirements
- General knowledge of construction-related equipment
- Ability to work safely in close proximity to active roads
- Commitment to doing quality work while prioritizing safety
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
- Valid US work authorization
- Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
- Union membership required

Schedule
Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
Work Environment
- Outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
- All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
- Prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
- Work within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
- Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Legal Stuff
- Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
- Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
- Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
- Join and maintain Union membership
