About the role
New Season Treatment Centers is seeking a Telecounselor Associate to join our team. This position reports to the Telecounseling Supervisor and operates in multiple states across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling services via a HIPAA compliant, synchronous video platform to patients within New Season's clinics.
- Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
- Maintain a minimum of 50% of hours worked in direct patient contact each month.
- Complete patient telecounseling screenings, psychosocial assessments, DAP notes, individualized treatment plans, reassessments, and all other program-related documentation within required timeframes.
- Coordinate urine drug screens with clinic liaisons and document results.
- Document patient progress and complete organization and state-mandated forms in the electronic health record and other required systems.
- Maintain file compliance and correct any documents or files found to be out of compliance.
- Identify and address clinical/case management needs.
- Communicate with assigned clinic leadership and support staff, responding to emails within one business day and maintaining a live updated shared calendar for patient scheduling.
- Report patient abuse, neglect, and exploitation as required.
- Report patient grievances as required.
- Participate in staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and supervisions as scheduled.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, including 42 CFR Part 2, 45 CFR Parts 160 & 164, and state-specific regulations.
- Participate in surveys and inspections conducted by CARF, the State, DEA, Board of Pharmacy, and other agencies.
- Act in the best interests of the program and company, honoring and protecting proprietary data and rights.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a Human Services related field and current Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern license under active supervision, with the ability to obtain unrestricted Florida licensure within 2 years of hire.
- At least 1 year of counseling experience.
- Knowledge of Substance Abuse and/or Telecounseling Services.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technological skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, prioritize, and be dependable and reliable.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a Human Services related field.
- Current Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern license under active supervision.
- At least 1 year of counseling experience.
- Knowledge of Substance Abuse and/or Telecounseling Services.
