Fixture & Equipment Design, Mechanical Engineer- Medical Device

About the Role

12-month initial contract with plans to extend for a multiyear project. The role involves fixture and equipment design for complex capital electromechanical equipment used in medical device manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Fixture and equipment design, including new designs and partial design modifications
• Selection and integration of off-the-shelf equipment
• Documentation and release management within company systems
• Mechanical design with an understanding of controls and automation
• Modifying/editing Python test scripts
• Some involvement in testing (primary testing handled by another team)

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering background
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience
• Experience designing from scratch as well as modifying existing designs
• Python experience (modifying/editing test scripts)
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and controls/automation
• Experience in regulated environments (Medical Device, Automotive, or Semiconductor preferred)
