About the Role

The Lear 45 Second in Command (SIC) works with the Pilot in Command (PIC) and medical team to provide care at a moment’s notice. Scheduled shifts run 15 days on and 15 days off, covering day or night trips. Safety is a key pillar of our services; all pilots work on a quality, professional team committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities

• Pilot the aircraft safely while working with a team of medical experts to transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight as described in the appropriate manuals, including regulatory and company requirements and aircraft cleanliness.
• Maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and record keeping for shifts, load manifests, etc.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with air and ground dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change information to transitioning pilots and teams in accordance with local or company guidance.
• Maintain required certifications and complete ongoing ground and air training.
• Assist with de-icing the plane, towing the aircraft, maneuvering in and out of the hangar, and prepping the plane for flight.

Requirements

• Meet or exceed the minimum 14 CFR 135 experience requirements to serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) of an airplane under IFR.
• Current First Class Medical certificate.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 20-minute or less response time to the aircraft when on shift (crew facilities are available in the hangar when on duty).
• Currently residing in or willing to relocate within a two-hour drive of Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (PANC).

Preferred Qualifications

• 2,000 total flight hours (TT).
• 250 hours as Multi Engine PIC.
• 12 months of Alaska Part 135 experience.

Working Conditions

• Required to work in outside weather conditions.
• Must be able to work night, day, and overnight shifts as assigned.

Pay

Annual salary range: $97,164.20 to $111,044.81 (external candidates); internal candidates determined based on experience.

Schedule

15 days on, 15 days off.
