Air Methods seeks exceptional pilots for Airlift Northwest PC12 (IFR). Salary range $82,900 – $93,251. Experience stipend up to $12,000, $50,000 stipend, off‑duty housing $15,000, sign‑on bonus. Must meet ALNW requirements.

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patient to receiving hospital within an assigned operational area. Must comply with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), General Operations Manual guidelines, and Air Methods policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
• Complete pre‑flight checks and sign off Daily Flight Log, including a full walk‑around before and after each flight.
• Serve as final authority for aircraft operations and safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.
• Maintain familiarity with all aircraft and medical systems of backup aircraft and ensure the medical flight team is comfortable with the interior and systems.
• Complete required documentation.
• Conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
• Participate regularly in Air Methods meetings, activities, projects, committees and community outreach.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Requirements

• Regular scheduled attendance – 7/7 schedule, 12‑hour shifts.
• Compliance with applicable laws and Air Methods policies.
• No supervisory responsibilities.

• STEP B: $86,216
• STEP C: $89,665

Education & Experience

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, plus 2‑5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Operation and Safety Requirements

• Maximum weight 250 lb.
• Age less than 70 years.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Instrument rating for the category and class of aircraft (ATP rating in category meets this requirement).
• Fixed‑wing multiengine rating (required for twin‑engine aircraft).
• Commercial single‑engine land rating (required for single‑engine aircraft).
• First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate.

Flight Experience Requirements

• 2500 total flight hours with minimum 2000 hours in category.
• 1000 hours PIC in category.
• 500 hours cross‑country, at least 50 hours at night.
• 500 hours turbine time.
• 100 hours night flight time.
• 100 hours in actual instrument conditions in category.
• ALNW specific: 2500 total flight hours with minimum 2500 hours in category, 150 hours night flight time, 300 hours in actual instrument conditions, 50 hours in make and model.
