Fixed Wing Pilot

About the role

Air Methods is seeking a Fixed Wing Pilot to join our team in Pensacola, FL. We offer competitive compensation, including an annual stipend of $30,000, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and legally.
• Verify aircraft airworthiness before every flight.
• Perform a walk-around of the aircraft before and after flights.
• Ensure medical flight team is familiar with aircraft systems.
• Complete required documentation and detailed flight planning.
• Participate in meetings, activities, projects, and community outreach.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Commercial & Instrument Rating (category and class of aircraft).
• ATP rating in category.
• First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate.
• 2,500 total flight hours with 2,000 hours PIC in category, 500 hours cross-country, 100 hours night, and 100 hours instrument.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, with 2-5 years’ related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Additional Job Requirements

• Regular scheduled attendance - 7 days on/7 days off (12-hour shifts).
• Must meet DOT/FAA requirements for drug and alcohol testing.
