Fixed-Term Benefit Specialist (License or Pre-Licensing)

About the role

As a Seasonal Benefit Specialist, you will educate customers on the ICHRA benefit and health plan options, conduct discovery conversations to understand individual healthcare needs, simplify complex insurance information, and support customers through the insurance enrollment process with empathy and accuracy. Success is measured by the quality of support provided and is not sales focused. Thorough training will be provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on the ICHRA benefit and health plan options
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand individual healthcare needs
• Simplify complex insurance information into clear, easy-to-understand guidance
• Support customers through the insurance enrollment process with empathy and accuracy
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver an exceptional customer experience by meeting quality, compliance, and service standards during a high-volume enrollment season

Requirements

• Active Health Insurance License; or willingness to obtain licensure prior to start date
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Ability to thrive with multi tasks and priorities
• Commitment to an inclusive, customer-first experience

Preferred Experience

• Licensing support program with course and exam reimbursement
• Experience with ACA, Individual market plans, or benefits enrollment
• Customer service, participant support, contact center, or enrollment support experience

Pay

Starting pay: $25/hour, based on experience and licensure
