Fitter

About the role

Saronic Technologies seeks an experienced fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Cut, grind, and assemble metal structural parts using fitting aids and rigging equipment
• Tack and weld foundations and install temporary fasteners
• Implement various welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GMAW-P)
• Fabricate components using various hand and power tools
• Operate pipe cutting machines and beveling machines
• Align and straighten parts using appropriate tools
• Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines
• Install pipe systems, fittings, and equipment according to specifications
• Inspect all equipment daily

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Experience with rigging equipment and working aloft
• On-site training provided for working in confined spaces
• Knowledge of pipe system layout and installation
• Ability to perform pre-employment skills testing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in fabrication and installation
• Valid driver's license

Skills

• Proficient in cutting, grinding, and assembly of metal structural parts
• Skilled in tacking and welding
• Knowledgeable in various welding processes
• Ability to operate pipe cutting machines and beveling machines
• Experience with rigging and working aloft

Pay
