Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Officiate and enforce rules of all sports and activities
- Record, track, and manage scores and rosters for all intramural sports and activities
- Promote and maintain a safe atmosphere amongst players that prioritizes sportsmanship and community building
- Resolve any conflicts that arise during normal competition
- Attend Reunions, CEUs, trainings and other developmental programs
- Other duties assigned
Required Qualifications
- Excellent oral communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, patrons and guests
- Excellent customer interaction skills with co-workers, supervisors, patrons and guests
- Ability to work outside conventional work hours (e.g. weekends, late nights)
- Ability to keep up with potentially rapid pace of play
- Ability to effectively enforce rules, especially among peers
Physical requirements: Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb all day. Frequently lift and move loads of 20-50 pounds. Vision must be adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
Education: Must be enrolled as a current student at Belmont University.
Experience: Prior experience with playing and/or officiating organized sports is preferred, but not required.
